Concerts

...as a pianist 


since the early years he has been giving solo and chamber concerts. Accompanied by an orchestra he has been performing the music of Haydn, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Shostakovich as well as Brahms's Piano Concerto No 1, with, among others, National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warsaw, or Gershwin’s Concerto in F with Miami Symphony.


Cooperation with singers was one of the most important issues in Piotr’s pianist activity. For a period of time Piotr was almost completely dedicated to voice and piano repertoire.

he has been leading the concerts of many orchestras both in Poland and abroad. He cooperated with such soloists as: Regina Smendzianka, Kaja Danczowska, Marie-Annick Nicolas, Jerzy Sulikowski, Bartlomiej Niziol, Arienne Haering, Jerzy Godziszewski, Paweł Gusnar, Marek Pasieczny and others.

Musicals

In 1996 Piotr started cooperation with German producers. As the conductor and musical director he prepared 8 stage shows that were performed 1600 times in many countries.

Special Events

"Oratorium Kalwaryjskie" (Kalwaria Oratory) by Zbigniew Książek and Bartłomiej Gliniak premiered on August 15th in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. The creators of the Oratory asked Piotr to compere this huge event. The concert, in which more than 150 artists took part, was recorded by Polish Television.


In 1996 Piotr conducted the concert of an untypical orchestra – composed of 10 pianos. Altogether more than 60 pianists took part in this special event. The concert took place in Warsaw.


Alfred Hause Tango Orchestra three times visited Japan with Piotr Komorowski as a conductor and master of ceremonies. Each time the musicians gave a series of performances in the concert halls like: Suntory Hall, Tokyo, Festivel Hall, Osaka, Fukuoka Symphony Hall, Sapporo Concert Hall, Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijo, Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall, Orchard Hall, Tokyo


In March and April 2006 Freddy Quinn – the German song legend – went on a jubilee European concert tour. The premiere and first concerts took place in Konzerthaus in Vienna. Piotr was the conductor and musical director.
